In order to make a jacket that fits your pup like a glove, we'll need exact measurements as specified below.
1. Length: Measure along the back from the base of the neck (where the spine starts) to the base of the tail.
2. Neck: Measure around the neck at the base, typically where the collar sits.
3. Chest: Measure around the chest where it is widest, typically right behind the front legs.
4: Neck to belly: Measure the distance from where the collar sits, through the front legs, to the base of the belly. (This will help determine how long we make the underbelly of the jacket)
5: Front chest width: Measure the distance between the front two legs (This will determine how wide the jacket will be so that there is good coverage but no chafing.)

What the refund/exchange policy on a custom item? We love working with customers to meet a unique need, and due to the nature of the work and materials cost for custom or personalized pieces, they are unable to be exchanged or refunded.
Wag Theory also cannot be held liable if inaccurate measurements were provided by the customer for custom work.
That said, we want the custom order process to go as smooth as possible, so we promise to be communicative throughout the process. If you have any questions about how to take proper measurements, don't hesitate to reach out and we are happy to help!

We have a large English Mastiff and buying any wearable item is a real pain the neck. He’s almost always too big for anything we find and getting custom orders is either impossible or STILL not big enough. When I saw the wagtheory coats I immediately knew we had to get one. The dimensions went up to (and past) his measurement in every category, and when we got the longest length I got an email asking if we needed to go even longer! The rain coat fits him perfectly and the waxed canvas keeps him completely dry and snug. We’ve even been wearing it out in the snow for some additional warmth and he’s really taken to wearing it and doesn’t mind walking on the rainy days anymore. Really a fantastic product and the first coat we’ve gotten that actually covers our whole dog. Thanks Wagtheory!
My Olive stays dry with her waxed canvas coat while looking like one First Class Dog! As a seamstress I can testify the Wag Theory coat is thoughtfully designed and constructed with craftsmanship. I’m happy.
Living in the rainy PNW with a dog means you need a jacket. Our first (not Wag Theory) didn’t quite fit, didn’t have as much coverage as we wanted and was always a struggle to get over our pup’s head. This new jacket was made to fit Markley perfectly to optimize coverage without sacrificing movement. It’s no longer a struggle to fit his head through because there are snaps to aid the process—the little touches on this jacket make all the difference and we so happy with it! If only Jenny made people jackets too, because it’s also nicer than any coat I’ve ever owned!
I’m so happy with this dog coat! Not only is it really appealing to look at, but it has been designed with function in mind! I love that I can clip my leash to her harness in front or back and that it fits my dog and doesn’t slide around. She loves wearing it because it means we are going on a walk and she can go potty easily in it! Thank you Jenny!
